PLA Management Services

Product listing ads optimization (also called PLA management) should be an integral part of all e-commerce PPC campaigns.

Available on Google and Bing, these ads allow online merchandisers to showcase products on a highly visible area of Google and Bing SERPs (search engine results pages), increasing visibility, improving brand recognition and creating the opportunity for higher clickthrough rates and conversions.

Google PLA Management

Google product listing ads appear when users search for relevant products on google.com or google.com/shopping. Because users are able to see specifics about products and pricing before visiting the e-commerce site, they are more likely to click through than they would be if they saw a conventional PPC ad, which contains less information and no image of the product. To run PLAs on Google, the advertiser must have an AdWords account linked to a Merchant Center account.

Bing Product Ads

Bing Product Ads, deployed in a Bing Shopping Campaign, provide the same excellent exposure as Google PLAs. To use Bing Product Ads, advertisers must sell multiple retail products online, with at least one item ID and secure online checkout as an option. In addition, Bing Product Ads are available to advertisers with verifiable website ownership, and a U.S. billing address for their Bing Ads accounts.

Google product listing ads management and Bing Product Ads require the same basic methodology as do traditional PPC ads. Before launching a PLA campaign, e-commerce firms should prioritize products, establish budgets, prepare a testing methodology and review results for ongoing product listing ads optimization.
